An absorbent article comprising a first nonwoven fabric and a second nonwoven fabric that sandwich a water-absorbing polymer group, wherein the surface of the first nonwoven fabric on the side of the water-absorbing polymer group has openings, wherein the 90% diameter in the diameter distribution of the openings is 10 μm or more and 130 μm or less, wherein the difference between the 90% diameter and the 10% diameter in the diameter distribution of the openings is 100 μm or less; wherein the surface of the first nonwoven fabric on the opposite side of the water-absorbing polymer group has openings, wherein the porosity of the openings is 25% or more and 50% or less; wherein the water holding rate of the first nonwoven fabric is 1000 mass % or more; wherein at least one surface of the second nonwoven fabric has openings, wherein the 90% diameter in the diameter distribution of the openings is 10 μm or more and 130 μm or less, wherein the difference between the 90% diameter and the 10% diameter in the diameter distribution of the openings is 100 μm or less; wherein the water-absorbing polymer constituting the water-absorbing polymer group is particulate; and wherein the particle diameter of the water-absorbing polymer is more than 106 μm and 1000 μm or less.
